TONIC TOUCH THERAPY is a unique combination of
Acupressure, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Thai Massage
to invigorate and restore your health and well-being.
Acupressure is a form of touch therapy that uses the principles of acupuncture and Traditional
Chinese Medicine. Instead of needles, acupressure employs the use of fingers, thumbs, hands,
palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to apply pressure to acupoints. This helps to release
muscle tension, promote circulation and revitalize Chi, the body’s life force.
Shiatsu is a form of acupressure and meridian based bodywork system that was developed in
Japan. Literally meaning "finger pressure" in Japanese, Shiatsu applies pressure to specific
points and areas of the body to alleviate pain and discomfort in order to maintain physical and
mental well-being.
Deep Tissue is a type of massage that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons
and fascia. Deep Tissue Massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slow deep
strokes, direct pressure and cross fiber friction helping to break down scar tissue and muscle
adhesions.
Trigger Point is a massage technique that involves the application of sustained pressure for an
extended period of time to areas of pain and local nerve facilitation. This helps to release tight
muscles and relieve soreness.
Thai Massage is a form of bodywork developed in Thailand and based on principles of Ayurveda.
It incorporates many stretching techniques and pressing acupoints to create a soothing yet
energizing effect on the body.
